Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her starring roles in the action spy film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. When she was a child, Paula Patton was raised in a Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mother was a film lover and encouraged her to love films as a child. Paula was involved in her school's co-curricular activities and particularly awed by drama. Paula loved playing the role of an actor with her friends and participated in the school's stage productions. She was a part of numerous productions at her high school Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and then decided to pursue acting as her career. Through a program for summer at the University of Southern California, she was awe-inspiring there. She won an assignment for PBS to create documentaries over the course of three months. After completing the assignment, she began becoming a production assistant for TV documentaries. Then she moved on to producing documentaries. Though she loved her job, she still dreamed of becoming an actress. Her first acting gig came with a small role in the romantic comedy of Will Smith Hitch. Since then she has appeared on many TV and film series.
