Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington but was born and raised in Winnipeg made her acting d but in The Piano. At age 11, she became one of the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full name was Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was a Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As as a young girl, she was awarded the Academy Award for best support actress. Her performance as the empathetic and curious young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) was the reason she won the honor. The character of Flora McGrath - the daughter to a Scottish mute pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century was a part she won at an audition for the role. When she was nine years old the actress had any experience in acting. When she was a teenager her family relocated to the United States. Paquin made her debut when she was a kid, with the character in the Jane Eyre protagonist in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre as well as a major part on the film Fly Away Home. Paquin played Frankie Addams in a 1997 film adaptation for television of the novel by Carson McCullers The Member of the Wedding as well as a small role in the role of Queen Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as in the role of polexia Aphrodisa girl on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
